Eclipses aren’t flashes in the pan. The fallout can last for months, even years. Their energy can shift us onto new paths that we hadn’t even considered but that ultimately serve our evolution, and the recent solar eclipse in Virgo is a case in point.
It left its mark in several ways, and as you would expect from modest Virgo, the aftershocks will be a great deal subtler than they would be in other signs. But this is still a game-changer. In this blog, I’m going to outline all the fallout from the Virgo solar eclipse.
Mercury rules Virgo, so you can’t get away from the communication aspect here either.
You need to be on the ball when it comes to any conversation where there’s a negotiation or when you are entering into a contract. What you put your name to now could tie you into something for longer than is ideal, so please be vigilant.
Virgo is the sign of detailed discernment, but it’s also the sign of quiet healing and having that application to roll up those sleeves and get your shoulder to the wheel. It might take longer to reshape our daily routines – another Virgo-ruled aspect of life – but the changes will be lasting ones because they are built on strong foundations rather than shifting sands.
Eclipse energy is a reset
So, eclipses act like a big reset, and this will apply to all that Virgo rules in the Zodiac:
Health
This eclipse wants you to ask yourself are you burning the candles at both ends? Are you frazzled or anxious or living on your adrenaline? Do you need to take some time out and focus on life’s more simpler pleasures that lift your soul?
Work
Virgo rules work, and so there’s no better time to start looking for a new job if you’re unhappy where you are. Instead of just moaning about it and talking about doing it, why not take a look at your CV, update it, and then start applying. You might also look to re-training too? This is not time to get in your own road, as you might’ve done in the past.
Service
Being of service to others can be so rewarding, and this can involve stepping away from the ego and seeing how we all are connected and how it’s a good thing to do to help others. Not to the point of martyrdom, as giving too much of ourselves for little or diminishing returns is not good either. You might find that this also finds an outlet in charity work or volunteering or raising awareness.
Order and chaos
Virgo loves bringing order to chaotic scenarios. This might mean physical clutter that’s getting in the way and that you keep stubbing your toe on, or more mental, emotional, or psychological blockages. Virgo can be modest, and can spotlight where you are perhaps being too meek and mild and lacking assertiveness.
Psychic undercurrents and eclipses
Psychically, I see this is a purge. A time when we see through the artifice, and, as I’ve been saying in my video horoscopes for a while now, the rise of people power. Virgo relates to this as it’s about everybody doing their bit – all of the cogs in the machine turning in unison to effect change. Half-truths and the hidden are being exposed and will continue being, by the light of this eclipse, but there is also hope and spiritual healing attached to this one.
It will untangle the muddled and all the restlessness in dreams that I’ve been hearing about and experiencing, the sudden shift in diet and appetites (more Vigo themes), are all bound up in this, too. Body is processing, but so is spirit.
That’s why I’ve been telling friends, family, clients, and the world not to worry about any kind of shift in your energies or a time when you aren’t seeing things clearly, because the darkest hour truly is before dawn.
What will be the global fallout from the Virgo solar eclipse?
Virgo energy exists strongly yet quietly in all our daily lives. It touches systems and structures and details and behind-the-scenes stuff. Organisation and how things get accomplished through hard work that doesn’t constantly demand recognition and pats on the back.
It also rules healthcare, so get ready for changes in the NHS, like how it’s organised, and this could mean a more streamlined approach, or some other type of reform for the better that puts healing and patient care to the forefront, while not ignoring the livelihood of the staff.
More widely speaking, we might also see more whistleblowers standing up for the rights of the disenfranchised, or those whose voices are being ignored. This is likewise the energy of audits, of debates, and scientific breakthroughs. Don’t be surprised if new findings emerge around diet and nutrition, or if beauty standards swing back to a more natural and graceful area.
Accountability is another biggie. As is spending time and money and the earth’s resources more widely. This is where we see flaws in the system, and the components in the machine that aren’t working.
What does this mean for your star sign?
There are more personalised ways this energy percolates down, of course, so here’s a quick snapshot. Get in touch for a personal reading, and I’ll go a lot more in-depth for you…
Virgo
This time it’s personal. You can expect major life shifts, new work patterns, routines, and perhaps a re-igniting of health goals. You might even reinvent yourself, and yet it feels more authentic this time around.
Pisces
This energy is concentrated in your opposite sign, so you are being asked to look at all your relationships, forensically if needs be. Balance brings healing, and so do greater boundaries, if someone has been stamping all over yours.
Gemini and Sagittarius
As fellow mutable signs to Pisces and Virgo, you’re also more downwind of this energy. All you Geminis see home and family come under the spotlight, while for Sagittarius, it’s career and maybe even realigning it with more of your wider life purpose goals?
Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius
All you fixed signs may find that you have to bend a little bit more. Digging in those heels may make them snap, and you might feel a lot happier once you learn to let go more.
Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn
As for you Cardinal signs, this eclipse is more about providing the backdrop to long-term shifts and closing the door and what isn’t working and wasting no more time in flogging a dead horse. Once you do, your energy and appetite for fun will likely increase.
The eclipse and healing
If you are experiencing any of these bodily changes I mentioned, like appetite, sleep, or just a fall in energy, then you might wish to look into ways that you can rest your nervous system if it’s stuck in fight or flight.
How you fuel your body, as well as which environments you take it to, is key. Maybe pay more attention to which foods energise you and which leave you feeling bloated and sluggish.
Likewise, which routines do you enjoy and leave you feeling good and empowered, as well as moving away from an ever-worrying mind, by maybe going down the meditation route?
This is not about perfectionism, though. Don’t get caught up in that number. It’s about doing your best, even if it’s five minutes every week. This is not your cue to get obsessed with what you’re not managing to pull off.
Looking ahead
As the dust continues to settle from this solar eclipse, problems will not vanish into the mist overnight. I have a feeling that all of this could take, on average, about six months, especially given everything else that’s happening all around us.
Its greatest gift is how this will strip away the mess, the discomfort at what has been ignored in the past, and then bring the new and well-thought-out shifts in direction that will be rooted in that Virgo earthy practicality.
Solutions are simpler than you might imagine reading this, and once clarity arrives, it’s yours for the taking.
