If you receive my weekly and monthly personal video horoscopes you’ll already know my take on Neptune. Yes, it’s a dreamy. Yes, it’s gooey. Yes, it’s beautiful.

It can also unlock our spiritual inspiration.

A seemingly infinite sea of imaginative and creative potential.

But let’s not forget its status as a great big ball of fantasy, of things promising the earth and delivering dust. That’s why we can feel like eggshells bobbing on water when it’s activated in our chart.

Well, on 30 March, this hazy, mystical planet enters the most upfront no-nonsense sign of the 12, Aries. The first sign, so this is likely to mark a new spiritual dawn.

It seems that Aries and Neptune are unlikely bedfellows from the off, but water and fire make steam, and there’s a head of it over the world from this point on.

What Neptune in Aries means for the world

Firing up spiritual or esoteric beliefs? A spiritual ideals and ego clash? A collective consciousness shift? Self-discovery? A new religion? Greater idealism as we boldly go where no other living human has gone before?

Sounds dramatic, I know, but 1861 was the last time Neptune was in Aries, the time of the American Civil War and the unification of both Germany and Italy.

Aries thrives on independence, innovation, and telling you how it is – sometimes to the bone of your nose. But Neptune’s style couldn’t be more different. Is it going to inspire activism? Some type of spiritual warfare?

This cosmic shift, lasting from 2025 to 2039, ignites something new and radical and yet it’s all done in a soft and gentle way. Maybe we’ll see a new and more compassionate side to leadership.

As always with Neptune, distinguishing between fantasy and reality is key.

But how will this transit impact each zodiac sign? Let me break it down for you.

Neptune in Aries for each sign

Neptune in Aries for Aries

You’re the star sign of the moment. Neptune in your sign has the power to transform your perception of the world and how you fit into it. You’ll feel drawn to a more spiritual or idealistic path, possibly rebranding yourself a wee bit by working on your own PR. You might do a Madonna and entirely reinvent yourself. Just be mindful of self-delusion. What seems like a grand mission or noble cause may be a mirage. Aligning passion with a higher purpose makes you an unstoppable force of inspiration.

Neptune in Aries for Taurus

Ready for a deep dive into spiritual waters, Taurus? We’re talking hidden emotions, the past (including past lives), karmic lessons and mystical experiences here. All sounds OTT, yes, but these are the themes Neptune in Aries brings to your door. Properly hearing your inner voice, spiritual healing, therapy, and exploring dreams or meditation are all avenues you might wish to explore. Remaining your grounded Taurean self is, however, the best way to map your subconscious. Not escapism. Destiny arrives like a whisper.

Neptune in Aries for Gemini

Your glamour is lit! But this is no glamour with a hammer. You attract good energy and people as easily as falling off a log. It’s a time to dream big and scope out your future vision, and think about how you’re going to square it with your friendships and angles in your life. You could be drawn to humanitarian causes or spiritual communities, as you’re very much in search of your tribe. Or you might think that until you find it. Some friendships might be more kind of transient, and that’s fine. Some people are in our lives for a reason and a season.

Neptune in Aries for Cancer

Is it raining men? No, but it’s still hallelujah time. Neptune in Aries is right at the top of your chart raining down so much to be thankful for, and you have equally high ideals this astrological weather, Cancer. Are you going to hear your true calling in the next few years? It’s entirely possible. This is a time of doing something where you heal yourself through the healing of others. You might also see right through so-called bosses, as this can also undermine your respect for those who don’t deserve it.

Neptune in Aries for Leo

You can take a journey from the comfort of your bed with Neptune in Aries, or you can get out of bed and explore some new places. This includes new abstract philosophies, mystical teachings, or even travel to sacred sites. This could equally be about adding new strings to your bow, like a course of study. You might also meet someone online or abroad. But you don’t go back to the lion’s den when you forget your hat, so this is a time for learning from past mistakes and not attempting to rewrite or airbrush it. You are the ultimate wisdom seeker, and you might have to pop some bubbles of illusion to get to it. Watch for the wool being pulled over your eyes.

Neptune in Aries for Virgo

Talk about a deep dive! Neptune in Aries for you Virgo has the power to transform your life from the grassroots up. But there could be some red herrings along the way. We probably can’t fully psycho-analyse ourselves, but you will have a damn good try at it now. Perhaps this is about surrendering control and letting this energy do its thing. On a more practical level, this is a time to pay closer attention to financial bonds and shared resources and ventures, just so that you know what’s going on each step of the way.

Neptune in Aries for Libra

Neptune in your opposite sign brings those into your life with dreamy qualities. you know, those soulful, artistic, or spiritually attuned types. But it can also mean you attract those who seem to tick all of these boxes before the mask slips. We’re talking about a descent into the elusive, emotionally unavailable and downright unreliable here. But you have enough Libran-smarts not to be hoodwinked. This is a lovely transit for romance actually, and it can help the falling back in love, or more deeply, with someone you’ve been in a relationship with for years.

Neptune in Aries for Scorpio

You can’t live on crumbs. You need your daily bread, and yet Neptune in Aries for Scorpio can make you more of an idealist. And a principled one at that. But then again, you can’t eat principles either. Not that I’m taking away the noble intentions behind this, it’s just good to be realistic about work. Life’s sometimes humdrum for everybody. Your creativity and imagination get a boost now. You might be moving into a job that ticks these boxes. Getting fit might mean you are attracted to fad diets etc that you might quickly lose interest in.

Neptune in Aries for Sagittarius

Neptune in your sister sign amps up the pleasure principle for you. A time of romance and of hearts won and lost, the thrill of the chase. Firing that arrow into the air, seeing where it lands, and then heading off on your hobbyhorse in that vague general direction. There’s perhaps more of a vague, otherworldly quality to you by the light of this planetary energy, you see, and yes, there are illusions in certain angles, but there’s also an understanding that nothing is forever and it’s good to enjoy the magic by living in the present as much as we can.

Neptune in Aries for Capricorn

Ever thought about adding more water to your home? I’m not just talking water features here either. You might paint some seascape colours into its décor palette or get an aquarium. There’s something so fluid about this energy in your chart, you see. Dealings with family – and those you think of as family – also come under the microscope. You need your sanctuary and to close the door on the world, but you also need people, and to feel those deep emotional waters stir from time to time. Stagnancy is the enemy, so keep those feelings and dialogues flowing.

Neptune in Aries for Aquarius

When you’re in the mood you wipe the floor with the rest of us in social scenarios and you’re perhaps going to feel the love a bit more now that Neptune’s in Aries. You like communicating, and you seem to be finding people who are more tuned into Planet You. Perhaps you’ll start reading poetry or ancient mystical texts, or maybe you won’t. A good Jackie Collins or Jilly Cooper might do just as well. Neptune has its pitfalls of course, and so missteps in verbal arrangements and plans mean that getting it in writing is a good idea. Greater compassion toward friends, neighbours, brothers, sisters and your wider family is another strong angle here.

Neptune in Aries for Pisces

Neptune is your ruling planet and felt right at home with you. You’re tuned right into it, especially seeing as how it’s leaving home for another adventure round the cosmos. In Aries is all about your relationship with money and that includes your self-worth. You don’t need me to tell you that all that glitters isn’t gold and that you must check out all the small print on anything, or anybody, you invest in. If you rush in where angels fear to tread, you might find your wings are clipped pretty sharp. The more value you add to yourself, the more you will shine with it, and attract the same energy back.
